Optional Equipment

Here is a list of gear for you to add to your Personal Cook Kit

Below is a list of gear ideas that can be added to the Scouts Personal Cook Kit that will aid them in preparing their personal camping meals on the Troop Camping Trips.

I find this item an essential tool to have while using my Backpacking Stove. It provides a safe way of handling the small pots and pans used with Backpacking Stoves. It has universal fit so it fit a lot sizes and different brands of gear.

The Optimus Sparky Handheld Piezo Igniter reliably lights most canister stoves with push-button convenience. It is a safer way to light your stove than using a cigarette lighter.

Moisture-resistant seasoning shaker.

A tough, BPA-free chamber with center divider accommodates two different spices, and rubber gaskets on all openings keep moisture at bay.

Spoon and Spatula set will aid in the cooking process. (Spoon) 7.4 x 1.7 x 1 / (spatula) 7.1 x 1.9 x 0.8 inches

Giant also carries a plastic Spoon and Spatula, which I would describe small to mid size, lets just say it is smaller than what you would normally use in the kitchen at home. I currently carry the Giant brand in my Personal Cook Kit because of the smaller size.

I noticed several Scouts do not have a measuring cup, to measure liquids for making their meals. This is causing issues with too much water or not enough water being added to dehydrated meals. The Sea to Summit is a Drinking mug and a measuring cup.

Simply folds flat when you are packing it away to save space.
