Here is what you need to know about meals for March Trip to Camp Delmont.
Friday Night Supper will be a Hoagie (Turkey or Tuna, you get to place your order on the sign up form), Chips and a Drink. We will eat once the Tents are setup at Camp Site.
Saturday's Meals will be Patrol Style Cooking, more details to come.
Sunday's breakfast will be Continental Style Breakfast. Scout's will choose items that fit into this style of Breakfast. (To make quick easy Breakfast, for and quick clean up)
Note: We will have chest coolers for any items that require refrigeration. All items need to be in Ziploc bags and marked with Cook Team Name and Meal Time (Breakfast, Lunch, Supper), so we know who items belong to.
Healthy Snack Ideas:
Fruit
Mixed Nuts
Apple slices with peanut butter
Carrot and Celery Sticks
95% Fat Free Beef Jerky or Beef sticks
Trail Mix
Granola Bars
Just a quick remember that no one should bring any bottled or canned drinks. If your Scout needs to have flavored drinks they need to bring drink powder or drops, and mix the powder or drops in to a reusable water bottle. The packets work best for camping trips. If they show up with bottled or canned drinks, the items will be returned home with parents.
If the Scout is going to bring drink powder or drops, they should have a second reusable water bottle. One for water only and one for mixed drinks.
