104 Years | 1920 - 2024

Troop 2 traces its origin all the way back to September 14, 1914 when a group of eight boys met in the basement of the home of Henry Thomson in Secane. In 1920 Aldan Union Church, under the leadership of their young minister William A. Dean decided to sponsor the Troop. In 2014 American Legion Post 1000 took over the role as the Charter Organization for Troop 2.

Scouts BSA is for boys who are 11, or are at least 10 years old and have completed the fifth grade or have earned the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award, through 17 years old. Boys experience a vigorous outdoor program and peer group leadership with the counsel of an adult leaders (Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters) to achieve the Scout BSA objectives of developing character, citizenship, and personal fitness. Camping, fun with friends -- and more. It’s the adventure of a lifetime.

Give your son a valuable gift by encouraging him to join Scouting today. The time you invest in him today will make a difference in the person he becomes tomorrow.

We meet weekly on Mondays at American Legion Post 1000 from 7:30pm - 9:00pm.
